Boobs

In a facebook post some days ago I said that it's only when you start trying to make a bra pattern that you realize how enormous your boobs are. Well they are, but I think the Lengberg bra -dress will work, with a smocked shirt and a dress over it.  Since visual sources from the period seem to favour boobs close to the armpits I tried to at least not press them together. But making a good bra from these finds is rather complicated when you have both large boobs and a ribcage which is much wider at teh lowest rib than o both under and over the bust.
But, as I said, I think it will work to get the right silhouette.

It's a bit tight, to keep all that fat up and generally I would say that a tight bodice with a few bones in front, something like my folk costume's (http://web.comhem.se/~u31138198/folkdrakt.html) is more comfortable for me, but that wouldn't give the right shape for this period and region. But that depends on what you find comfortable, I like it when my boobs don't move at all. It will get softer after being worn for a while too, you know how linen reacts with body heat.

The pattern could definitely be improved too, but it's a good start and I think with the added support of the gown, which has a reasonably tight bodice I think it will work out fine.
