The Fire Fairy
While I am here I realize that I promised photos of the fire crown and fire fairy outfit when I had done them in my September post. Well, these were taken in October.
The undergown is made from an old sunbleached saree. The overgown is heavily influenced by the works of Mariano Fortuny, as you probably all can see, and is made from two brocade table cloths that I found at a thrift store, pluts some velvet remnants.

And, since orange is a neutral colour that goes with anything, it offers lots of opportunity for combining with other garments for lots of costume variations.
