Fingerwaving/Marcel Wave

Do a version of the Marcel wave. Have you got curling tongs? If so, then separate the hair into either centre or a side parting (depending on which your mum likes and which suits better).

Take sections of the hair and curl one way to get a curve and then the otherway to get the opposite type of curve (hope that makes sense!). Do this along the hair at the front.

Then the length from nape of neck can simply be plaited in two long plaits and then folded over themselves at the base of the head at the back. A pretty comb keeps it all in place.
