sewing progress

Maja now has one finished blue woolen tunic and one in pale yellow linen, and a second light blue linen tunic well on the way. She also has a white linen cap. Plus the brown tunic in herringbone linen she's going to wear this weekend which will be too small for her at Visby in the beginning of August. She will need one more linen tunic I think. I will also buy two pairs of footless tight in neutral colours and some socks, because I'm not going to make breeches and hose for a baby.

The bigger girls need new shifts and thicker wool dresses (the new green dresses are very thin) and they are also in progress, the front and back gores are attached and most pieces are zig-zagged (partly by the girls themselves).

Today I also made a longer slit down the front of my 13th c dress so I can use it. That means that I have three dresses and two shifts, which should be enough. I also started to make the armholes bigger on one of my early 14th c sleeveless surcoats so that I can nurse while wearing it.

We have been over at my friends Anna and Kristian's place and eaten indian food and Now Maja definitely wants to sleep. Or at least wants her mummy.
