I just mailed a hand-stenciled shirt to my ex-girlfriend and her partner that says "Mamas' boy" on it, with the apostrophe in red-- I'm hoping she thinks it's a funny shirt for their son. I, at least, kept giggling the whole time I was making it. I love grammar geekery.
And I love this little vignette. That is nice. (Of course, I've never understood parents who felt the need to correct their kids at this young an age-- it's not like they're going to go run off and get married right away! They'll figure out well before it happens that this is not feasible. My own mother was very tolerant at letting us believe whatever we wanted as very young children, and not needlessly squashing fantasies. I had no issue figuring out for myself at around age seven that horses couldn't really fly.)
