Had a neighbour once who had a branch grinder. Aargh!
Radio controlled cars and helicopters are also irritating, but they are not so popular where I live (few children around, and no place to drive your little car without the risk of being run over by the fire engines).

My mom collects chainsaws.

I hate them too. Once when my daughter was a baby and I finally got her to sleep a man started to blow cherry blossom leaves (sic!) just outside the window. Luckily for the leave-blowing man my husband was at home and stopped me from putting the blower up where the sun don´t shine on that idiot! I still get mad thinking about it....
