Pearls before swine

While quite a few of my friends sit at home and wish that someone could ask them to go out on a Saturday nigh or go to a party I declined two very tempting offers yesterday. One was going out with my friend countess Jovi, who is both an amazing woman and a real party princess and the other one was going with a very dear friend to a masquerade - I who complain that I never get invited to masquerades.
The problem was that I got the offers around 7.30-8 pm and I just can't shift gears like that; I need a little more forewarning. I had taken a bath and my hair was wet and wouldn't have looked good (I don't own a hair dryer) and for the masquerade I would have preferred to have known it long enough in advance to be able to not sew, but at least plan what I was going to go as.

The fact that Rickard works until 8.30 pm (from 9 am) today and I am alone with Maja who wants at least some attention of course also contributed to my decision, even if I didn't drink (like that would happen in that company) the price would still be very high, considering my health also, I would be tired and have a much worse Sunday.

So despite people pleading with me on phone and facebook I stayed home and cut out a new wrap front blouse. Giving me those nice offers really was like throwing pearls before swine.
