I think you could so totally do this dress/coat! It's really a wrap dress with a wide lapel and no collar. Mock it up in muslin, I double dog dare you!

Coats needs a lot of men's tailoring techniques which I haven't tried yet.

tailoring really isn't difficult, just time consuming. " Classic Tailoring techniques" is an excellent book to guide you through the steps...and I can help too.

I still think you could handle this.
