1890s and 1920s

Today I have been in BorĂ¥s, a neighbouring town, to the textile Museum to look at parts of their collection of clothes from the 1940s. 50s and 60s for a project idea that I have. But of course that was not the only thing that I saw; for example there was this lovely 1890s jacket:

I immediately thought of you when I saw it.

they both look like brand new items of clothes, wow! What a find for that museum.
Can't wait to hear more about this project.

The only wear on the 1890s jhacket was on teh silk velvet collar, the sturdy wool in the jacket looked almost new. Th e1920s jacket had a tear in the lining.

Oh! How wonderful that you got to take closer looks at things :) I really want to make that 1890s bicycling outfit from Laughing Moon now.

Wow, I like that '90's jacket. Check out the ginormous sleeves! The back detailing on the collar is cool too.

I loved Boras, I didn't know they had a clothing collection - we just went to the mill museum... Gotta go back, I guess! :-)

It's the same museum, but they've got a great collection down in the magasines.
