Selling a corset

I'm thinking about selling my 18th century corset. It is too big and my goal is to never get that big again. I'm just wondering what I could ask for it. It has never been worn, just tried on, and there's no visible machine sewing on either in or outside.
I'm also wondering where to sell it. I doubt Tradera, a swedish internet auction site is the right place, my 16th century kirtle didn't get much attention there and although it got sold eventually it went very cheaply (c. 38 $).

why not try ask someone in "gustavs skål" or "gustavianerna" if there someone who's in need of a corset? it's pretty!

and they might be willing to pay a bit for the craftmanship too?

I've no idea what to ask for it, but I think you can get a notice in Gustafs Skål's "Litet Tidsfördrif". It comes out pretty irregulary though. You can mail Lasse Schulze, lars.schulze @ mbox.pi.se. to ask him to put it there. I don't think it's restricted to members only.

I thought about e-bay, but I've nver sold anything there. The shipping from Sweden might frighten people away too, but at least the corset doesn't weigh as much as when I sent the wool fabric to Sarah.

I just checked the member's pages on Gustafs Skål. A brand new corset by a professional, made in silk and linen, has the price of 2500 SKr. Hope that gives you an idea what you could sell yours for.

OMG! I was hoping for 1000 SEK and would be very happy if I could get that.

I think you definitely could. Your corset is beautiful.

Thanks. I have to think about how to do it.
Thankfully I have already taken the measurements (they're on the web page) so it's easy to describe it.
