My corsets usually don't diminsh my waist at all, corsets with busks actually add to my waist, because of it's straightness. The problem is of course my rib cage, which measures 91 cm at the lowest ribs (you can see that it presses out the corset in the frist picture). If your corset is to be conically shaped then you can't get a very narrow waist then.
Not that I really complain, it's comfortable and there is anyway nothing I can do about it. My ribcage is both sturdy and very inelastic due to the constant inflammation in it.

But it make my waist look smalleer and that's worth a lot.
