Two good things, or maybe three :)

Having lost weight (6 kilos from start in February) I can now actually wear a bra with DD-cups!!!! I had G, I went down to F when I stopped nursing and now I can wear DD! That means that I can buy bras in normal underwear chains. I actually got two bras for 200 SEK (ca 30 $)today!
That's one (or two, since it's boobs we're talking about) good thing.

The other good thing is that I went to the doctor today and on the 5th of June I will have surgery in my left foot, straightening out my three hammer toes.

Yay!

But I hope it doesn't take long to recover from the surgery

Talking of bras... Can you perhaps recommend some good Swedish stores/chains for buying bras? I know the ones we also have in Norway (like Lindex, H&M and Kappahl), but I'm sure there are other places worth checking out too. You know, not the 1000 kr places, but places with a certain quality and selection.

Yay! I remember all too well being that big myself, not fun.

Wonderful news! Congratulations!

Congratulations. I envy you!

Well, the bra-thing, that is. And I'm glad you get surgery, I hope it will put it all right.

That sounds good! I am still a 85dd and have been since before i started loosing weight, you would think that 16kg less would make a difference in boob size, but no...

:snrk:

last time I lost 20 pounds I went up a cup size. :-(

[identity profile] frualeydis.livejournal.com 2007-05-04 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
But maybe you went down in band size?
The cup sizes varies between band sizes, a 34 C is smaller than a 36 C.

*sigh* no. The band size stayed the same. :-( I lost the weight elsewhere. When you've a 34" band size (86 cm) there's not many places to go. 32s are even harder to find! :-(

Hurray and hurray! I found out at my appointment this morning that I've lost enough weight to lose a bra band size-- or possibly two. Cup size still holding steady at (not quite enough for my taste) though.

The cup sizes varies with band sizes though, (which is easily seen in underwire bras if you comapre the size of teh wire), so if you loose band sizes but keep the same cup size your cups are smaller too.
I don't easily loose band sizes since I don't carry much fat on my rib cage and since I alredy wear one size smaller band than they say I "should" with my rib measurement, too keep it tight enough to hold my breasts, I will keep the same band size unless I get really obese.

nods. If it's the size that they want me to wear, it's too loose and things move around (down) too much to suit me. A snug band keep my girls in place!

Hooray! It's always nice to share good news.

Hi there!
How are you? i hope you're on the recovery and that you haven't had to give up drinking completely.

I'm getting better. My scars are almost healed and I'm not in so much pain. I can't go out and drink as much as I'd like but it will take more than open chest heart surgery to stop me going to the pub for a flirt at least twice a week. It exhausts me but I look upon it as physical therapy.

WooHOO! I"m so envious!

yay new bras for an excellent price :)
I just bought 3 bras myself.

I went from a super easy to find 34(75)b to the almost impossible to find at a reasonable price 32(70)c. The H&M here does carry the size but they usually only get in maybe one and their underwear selection has decreased in size considerably since they opened the store(boo!). La Senza seems to be carrying it more often now which is good but they don't usually have crazy colours.

good luck on your foot surgery! :)

Oooh congrats on the weight loss and resultant ability to buy cheaper bras.

Good luck with the surgery.
