The day keeps getting worse

For various, legitimate, reasons the rest of the gang planning to go to Norway to [livejournal.com profile] haugtussa's concert have decided not to go. This means that I will have to try to find some way to go there on my own, which means probably leaving Göteborg one day before the actual concert, which in turn means finding a babysitter for Maja on Saturday too. It will also be very expensive which is even more an issue now after I got a letter that my sick leave will be cut to only 25%, my dole days will end soon and I only got 20% job at the university.
F**K! I don't know what to do with all this shit happening.

ETA I couldn't check train tables because they were impossible to find and flights are between 5000 and 8000 SEK, which is more than half my monthly salary. So that's no solution.

Mellan Strömstad och Sandefjord, som ligger 3 timmars bilkörning från Kristiansand.

Hva med Strømstad-Langesund? Langesund ligger lenger sør.

E-mail is sent. Basically your best option might be to go by ferry from Göteborg via denmark (fredrikshavn) then train to Hirtshals and ferry to Kristiansand. I checked the times and prices, you would have to leave at 15.00 from Göteborg on saturday, and that is not good in regards to the babysitter problem I know.

Another option is the bus up to Oslo and then bus down to Kristiansand, there leaves a bus in the middle of the night from Gøteborg, but that might be very rough on you... There leaves busses quite often from Oslo to Kristiansand.

I hope it works out. I am sorry that the others couldn't make it, but I unnderstand it.

Btw I have a cold (since saturday) so my life sucks to at the moment, but I'm hoping that it will go away soon now.

Yes, Säfflebussen or train from Gothenburg to Oslo, and then bus or train from Oslo to Kristiansand is an option. The buses from Oslo to the south leaves basically every hour, because there are four competing companies:

http://www.sorlandsekspressen.no/
http://www.konkurrenten.no
https://www.miljoekspressen.no/
https://lavprisekspressen.no/

The two first guarantee there'll be room for you, even if you haven't booked (which means they're great to just jump on when you can). The last one is cheapest - if you book in time and there's room. Haven't tried the third, because it's fairly new. The company (RTB) is great, though.

Best of luck!

Of course, these buses should be accessible from Horten and other cities along E18 as well... Which means you can take one of the ferries, and then jump on a bus. There might be some booking rules, I'm not sure.

I might be stupid to ask, but... You have checked with https://www.welcomeair.com/ right? They fly from Gothenburg to Kristiansand app. four times a week.
