Good timing

Yay! I got my period today!
How can this be good news? (Apart from the obvious: that I'm not pregnant, although that wouldn't be bad news, just worrying because of my medication. But I digress, that's not it.)
Because it means that it will be over when Visby medieval week starts!

Lucky. I'm afraid of it hitting right during Costume College. Isn't it horrible how we have to dread these things? :)

That's always a relief. Especially when you use cloth towels, like I do -- not practical when camping among lots of other people...

I've been fortunate enough to not have to deal with mine during Pennsic. So far. However, having reached the age when they start to become irregular, mine has chosen this month to be late. And I REALLY don't wanna deal with in 16th century clothing. In a porta potty.

That's great! I hate having to deal with that at costume events, stays and cramps just don't go together.

(Keeping my fingers crossed I get mine soon so I don't have it at Costume Collge...)

Seriously - mine came on Tuesday, I was quite pleased for that very same reason.

This year, however, I've bought a couple of products that should make camping a pleasant experience. My own bottle of alco-gel for one, a fantastic little vanity bag that will hold all of that stuff for another. It has a bit that unzips loose for a small washroom run, while shampoo and whatnot else stays in the main bag. I love clever gadgets and thingies like that.

Anyway, I hear you.

I call it my monthly YAY I'm not pregnant happy dance. Hubby and I are extremely fertile and capable. However, my body would kill me if I were to get knocked up again. He's the only married man he knows that isn't allowed near his wife without a rubber *laugh*
