The one who has the most fabric when she dies wins!

And I'm a candidate for first prize. I have today bought 8 meters of linen and 31 metres of 100% wool in a soft red, dark green, grey and black. Mwahahaha, It's all mine!
But seriously I don't have any clue about where to put it, all my fabric closets and shelves are full.

I'd be happy to take that excess fabric off your hands! :)

I did something similar last winter - bought about 100 yards of Pendleton Wool, granted I redistributed a good portion ;)

Does this mean there is affordable wool available in the Gothenburgh area?! Please please please tell me where if there is! I'm poorer than most and need winter clothes... Oh, and this weird person butting in like this is a 24-year old home sewer in Biskopsgården who has found lots of inspiration on your wonderful website. And her name is Monika. And she'll stop writing now before she seems even more mentally deranged.

31 metres?

I want wooll too!
O perhaps that would mean that all toyr costumes for the coming year will be in one colour?

[identity profile] frualeydis.livejournal.com 2004-09-17 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no many different colours. Ususally I try to make clothes fromdifferent time periods if I have a lot of one fabric. For example the same wool has been used for hose, my latest early 14th century dress (http://w1.412.comhem.se/~u41200125/bilder/kungahalla6.jpg) and will be used for the 16th c flemish dress (http://w1.311.comhem.se/~u31138198/diary1.html).

Easy - make the twins double up in the same bed and put the fabric on the other bed.

That's actually do-able since they already sleep together on their sofa/day bed and don't use their own beds.

Problem solved!
