Nazis at MY university
Just to show that all isn't nice and dandy here: One of the organizations for young conservatives "Fria moderata studentförbundet" here in Sweden have invited one of the top persons in the national democrats, a neo-nazi party to give a speech at a house owned by the university but used by the students (of course the university wouldn't let the building to nazis, but now it's the conservative group that have booked the hall). "Fria moderata studentförbundet" are ideologically, if not formally, linked to the Conservative party and there are personal links between them. Anyway, we'll see if the university can find some way to stop this, otherwise I might have to find a babysitter for all my kids and go protesting on wednesday evening.
Tuesday there is a big anti-racism march, since it is the anniversary of the crystal night, when jewish shops and jews were attacked in nazi Germany.

If you want I'll pay for a babysitter so you can go protest. :-)

"It's cancelled...at the same time it was tempting, know your enemy sort of."
Well it was tempting to me to, but not because I wanted to know my enemy but because I wanted to confront them. With the political stuff happening lately it would have felt so good to have a clear enemy and to get some anger out of your system by shouting at them and feeling that adrenaline rush.
About a babysitter: It wasn't money that would have stopped me, it's that I think Maja is too small to be left to anybody but my mum or possbly my sister, especially since I'm the main source of food and the babysitter would have had to warm frozen mummy-milk and give and she hasn't learned to use a bottle.
And she's also too small to take to a protest that may become violent (not from me, I'm a pacifist).
