I've started on the corset again, doing the math all over and hoping for a better result.

What frustrates me most about corsetmaking is that the math doesn't understand squish.

Do remember to use the mistakes of the other to solve the problems of the current one, rather than just shrinking down the pattern.

I think the main problem was that I started with the measurement of my waist in my Effigy-style corset which really doesn't compress my waist at all. So the waist measurement was too big and the other measurements were based on this. I also actually made a simple calculation mistake, thinking that the pattern had 30 squares at the waist and then dividing the desired measurement with that, when it really had 33 squares. And that really makes a difference.
