Two photos of me

From the Winter Games.
The first one is of course of my new outfit, partly finished. The photo is taken by Torun on Saturday night, after court (you can see the token for my Panache (Kingdom Arts&Science Award) on my chest) but before feast.




The other one is taken earlier on Saturday, when I'm having a quick lie-down on the floor outside the loo before we were going to the place where the tournament was held.


Thanks to the best of company on Friday night (helwig, liadethornegge and litensessa among others) I didn't get to bed until 4.30 in the morning. And was woken at 7.30. I was a bit off for most of Saturday, but still managed to be one of the judges at the A&S competion and socialize some with paleolithical and family.

The close to twelve hour car trip home was long, but very nice, again thanks to excellent company, not on lj, except for druda and bippimalin.

I know :) I think of the man Margareta (the protrait I had as inspiration) was married to, Gustavus Vasa, our rather autocratic king whenever I look at myself.

Ah, ok. I was wondering if you were representing a queen or otherwise really high ranking noble. I may not know that much, relatively speaking, about historical costume but I do know that purple and gold tended to be colours reserved for members of royal families.

So was she also pretty autocratic or was she more in the background?

Fun meeting you again, the dress is _great_ (but no surprises there), and as I implied, I feel that you most certainly deserve the award.

Got me a bit inspired to get my garb in order, and work on getting a bit more of the stuff in order (following all your teasing I suppose some sort of underwear is on the list as well, not that I have seen any documentation for how they would be designed).
