The excitement of new knowledge
Apr. 6th, 2011 01:10 pmAnd of good lecturers. In June our department are going to Ireland on a field trip to look at Irish bronze age (mainly) sites. As a preparation for this two irish professors, William O'Brien and Tomas O'Carragain are visiting us and giving lectures on the archaeology of Ireland. I've just been to professor O'Brien's lecture on "Late Bronze Age society in Ireland" and it was such a wonderful lecture - very interesting topic and en excellent lecturer. At 4 pm. I will have the pleasure of listening to him again, this time about "Celts, Romans and the indigenous Iron Age in Ireland". I can't wait.
