So tomorrow 39 of us working at the department of historical studies are leaving for a study trip to Ireland. I am extremely jittery about going away, like I always am, but also very excited to go. I've wanted to go to Ireland for a long time and for different reasons, but going on a study trip with the guidance of archaeology professors for sure fulfills one of my dreams about a trip to Ireland. I just wish my fellow historians hadn't insisted on cutting some of the prehistorical stuff and adding more later stuff, because it means that I won't see Newgrange. Instead we will see the experience center about the battle of the Boyne - I mean: Helloo! Who'd want to see something about an 18th century battle when you could have seen Newgrange? Home of the Dagda and Aengus Óg?

Still, I think it will be a lovely trip. Despite the weather forecast predicting rain and temperatures between 7-14 C.

It's a pity you can't visit Newgrange, it is very interesting. Have a nice trip!

Thank you. I think that I will, but I am sad that I won't be able to see Newgrange. My economicla situation isn't such that a new opportunity is likely for a decade or so.
