It's almost finished - I'm heading over to the neighbour for tea now and will bring some hooks and eyes to make the openings in the skirt in the back stay closed.

Errhmm. Printed cotton, including gold print. I bought it in one of the shops on Goldhawk road.

Thank you. It was my inspiration, though she of course didn't have any gowns in printed cotton. But Katehrine de Medici had - in 1599. Probably not this type of print however.

I love that pattern! The dress really shines with it! And you've used it well in the shape of the bodice and the black edge at the top and the bottom is gorgeous! *envy*
