A trip out in the archipelago

On of mine and Rickard's old friends have moved to Stockholm (8 years ago or something) so we don't see each other that often. His mother, however, has a house on one of the islands in the Gothenburg's southern archipelago and a week every summer he and his family stays there. We do not manage to go there every year, but this year we did and it was really nice. Even the weather behaved and it was sunny and warm. The southern archipelago lies within the zone 1 on the Gothenburg tram/bus/boat system so it's cheap to go there and you can travel really far too. We didn't go that far, if you look on this map we went to the island called Styrsö. The boats go from Saltholmen, also on the map and the centre of Gothenburg is a little outside of the map to the right.
A view from the boat. This is at Styrsö Bratten, one of the three (possible, not all boats go to all of them) stops on that island.

Maja on the boat:

I'm posing on the landing-stage, minutes later I was out there swimming.

Hans was taking care of teh barbecue, which included normal things like meat, burgers and hot dogs, but also mussels that he and his son had picked that day.

Meanwhile Maja and his son played on one of the boats. This photo is taken after dinner, when the kids were cathing crabs. Vendela has just caught a large one.

The kids again:

A happy husband and a happy Hans, in the evening sun with a beer each. And Vendela.

When we went home the sun had set and the sky was deep blue with a half moon and the sea shone like dark silver.
