I just discovered it would cost me 90 SEK (12$ or something like that) to get the article "Well cut through the body: Fitted clothing in twelfth-century
Europe" by Christina Frieda Waugh, from DRESS, Volume 26, 1999 copied. You see, the only library in Sweden that has that journal is Nordiska Museet's library in Stockholm and since it's a journal and not a book I can't get it on ILL. Does any of you have access to that issue and can copy/scan that article for me?

It's upstairs in the library at which I work. But don't tell anyone, 'cause it's cheating. ;>

I know it's cheating. But I'm not even sure they have that year of DRESS at Nordiska and then I would have to go outside sweden to find it and I need that article for the chapter I'm writing now on my dissertation. If you scan it, how big would it be? I don't need high resolution, just so that I can read the text.

It's ... oh, crap, it's packed! I think it's about 6 pages? 7 or 8 maybe, including the cover (which is part of the article as far as I'm concerned). The text is fairly small (it's in 2-column layout), so scans need to be bigger than they might otherwise need to be.

If you havent' gotten it in the next few weeks, drop me an email at jauncourt (at) yahoo (dot) com and I'll dig it out and scan it for you.

My mum got it as an ILL for me, so I can copy it for you. The pictures probably won't come out as good as the "original", but if you only care for the text it ought to be ok. Do you need it urgently, or would within a forthnight do?

A fortnight would be OK.
So I guess that's settled, I get a copy from Lena (m_nivalis).
Thanks to everybody who offered help.

Ooh, if you get it would you mind terribly sending on a copy to me as well? I'd be most interested to see it!

No, I wouldn't mind at all. However, since it will have been copied quite afew times teh picture quality is likely to be crap so it might be an idea to call Nordiska and see if they really have it and then go there and see it for real, since you live fairly close to Stockholm.
