For those who don't know; [livejournal.com profile] myralea and I are planning a victorian event. So now I'm officially hooked. I have also ordered some fabric for a flounced dress from the 1850s. It's white with bouquets of lavender coloured flowers.

lovely my dear! so what did you think about our idea of recreating a mini-period-ballet for the occasion? something from giselle maybe?
just spent last evening goinmg crazy over 19th C ballet costume. it has all my childhood ballerina dreams could ever dream of...

but decided to make it a soft start with some victorian knitting (until i've decided exactly what i want to make). it so soft and soooo creamy pink!

but i could always start with some undies, and knit some lace for this!

when you say planning. - are you arranging it or planning to attend?

As arranging. It will be a small dinner party or tea party, possibly at Nääs (http://www.naas.se/logi.htm) castle where we could stay over. We haven't inverstigated the possiblites to have one of the houses to ourselves yet, but one of them only has four 2-person rooms, which would be easy to fill. Or we will have to find some other place, maybe somewhere in Göteborg where we would just have the party and then go home/stay over with friends. Just now it's only plans and it will have to be in late september or october I think.

Ragnhild is going to an 1880s LARP in Norway in July, is that something you will do to?
