Yes, it would probably be different - it's the introduction to a course on using textiles and clothing as historical sources. It's the first course the students on our heritage studies programme has, so it's partly a way of seleign in artifacts as soruces to history,and an introduction to the kind of sources you can use, and, with an example from my own research on cloting and gender, what kind of questions you can ask when studying clothing and textiles in relation to society.
