A flare, and craft plans

frualeydis On my way home from work on Wednesday I suddenly flt so much pain that it was really horrible to walk the rest of the way home (just a couple of hundred metres). And when I got home all I could do was lie down on my acupuncture mat. It helped enough for me to fall asleep for an hour or so.
When the evenigng came I was a little better in the stomach, which is where I had had the most pain (which is really unusual for me), but the middle finger of my left hand was really swollen, so that it looks like a sausage.
I woke in lots of pain on Thursday morning and decided to call in sick an cancel the seminar on feudalism that I was heading. I also took celecoxib, which is anti-inflammatory, but which I tend to avoid since they are not good for the stomach (but not as bad as ibuprofen) and tramadol and spent most of the day reading, before the Gotvik sewing meeting. I didn't cancel that, because I like hanging with the Gotvikers, but I spent most of the time lying down on my day bed. I did do some hemming on what I like to call my Space Disco gown, made from crushed stretched velvet with silver foil stars. I will show photos later, but that was about it. On Thursday evenign I also discovered that I couldn't bend my right wrist, because it was swollen.
Today Rickard was free from work, since he's working the weekend, so we went to the neighbouring town of Mölndal, which really has almost grown together with Gothenburg and the trams go there, to pick up my old sewing machine which had been for service.

I also got a round carton box for my coronet. This was my third try to get one. First I got a rectangular one before the coronet arrived, which wasn't high enough. Then on Tuesday I got a round one which was too small - I had measured the coronet but didn't bring a measuring tape to the shop.
But NOW I have one the right size. It was way too high, so I cut it down 7 centimetres. Now I want to pad it a little on the inside, I think I'll use rubber foam and velvet, or possibly some other fabric. I also want to decorate it on the outside with DAS clay, to make it look a little like tooled and painted leather. I might get some clay tomorrow, since I am going down town with Anna to look at fabric.
