The good news is that "my" team, IFK Göteborg, won their game today, and that I was there to see them. Yes, football in winter, with snow beside the pitch.
The bad news is that the Ture feast has been cancelled. And the organizers hasn't told me, I got to know it by chance from a friend. I would not have enjoyed taking the train to Uddevalla just to find out that it was cancelled. I had looked forward to dressing up and meeting people and singing etc. Since this event is only 1 1/2 hour train trip away it is one of the few we can go to easily and it was also on a weekend when the big girls are with their father, which makes going to events lot easier. Now there won't be any events for me before August!
I hope we get our money back.

But still and anyway, you have England to look forward to.

You can dress up here if you like.

Yes I know. I really, really look forward to the trip. But I won't dress up in England, because the clothes weighs too much to bring without a very good reason. I'm saving my luggage allowance for books and fabric on the way home.

Doh! They didn't even tell you it was cancelled!? That smacks of poor organization. I'd get on them about repayment of fee - they're likely to forget that too.

It turned out it was partly my fault, I had only sent in the money with the relevant information on the payment message, but they wanted a separate e-mail too. One would think that they would check who had paid too, but apparently not. My group only counts on people coming after they have paid so we keep good track of who has paid and who hasn't. But I will get my money back and now I can go to the Sci-fi/fantasy fair on saturday.

Aah, ok. Well, then they are half-excused. They should still have some communication between exchequer and event stewards...
Have fun at the fair!
