Almost finished
Aug. 5th, 2005 10:35 pmAbout everything that can be packed today is packed. Only our blankets, pillows and toiletries are left to pack.
I have also started on an embroidery project so that I have something to do at quiet times in camp. It's a silk border for the front edges of my husband's half circle mantle. The mantle is in deep blue wool and is lined with light green and orange changeable silk taffeta. The border will be in pale blue silk and have round brass ornaments attached to it and be embroidered with the silk yarn
haugtussa and I dyed in some geometric pattern.
Now we're waiting for the trailer, which should be here before midnight and at 8 am tomorrow we start packing, hopefully leaving at 9. Most of the stuff for the rest of the group is already here or will arrive tonight. It's good to have a large flat so we can store things for a couple of days and still be able to move around.
Now I'm going to eat popcorn.
I'll be back again on the 15th.
And then I'll be home for a week and two days and then I'll go to London to see
sarahbellem,
myladyswardrobe,
edmndclotworthy and of course
guyelfkin.
