I really should be working
Nov. 5th, 2003 02:26 pmI'm so bored today. It's all grey outside and I can't seem to concentrate on my work, instead I constantly surf the internet and waste time.
What I really should be doing is working on an article for "Historisk Tidskrift", the swedish scientific journal of history. And I have written a little, I've made the basic disposition and have written ca 1 page. It's just that I need 9 more. And they better be damn good, since this is something fairly prestigious. I think I'm a little intimidated by this also. It doesn't have ot be finished until christmas, thank goddess, but I really shouldn't waste time like this.
I had lunch with Björn today and it was really nice, I haven't seen him for almost a month and that's way too long.
I'm going home soon and then I will remove the sleeve from my Herjolfsnes dress and start again. Even though I've already stitched down the seam allowances. Then I will reshape the armhole to take away the annoying extra fabric in the back. I've also decided to shorten the sleeves and only make them elbow length. I'm planning to wear this dress when I give a lecture on medieval dress for the local Tolkien Society on saturday. I don't have a matching handwoven, handsewn dress to wear under it, but I have a very nice pink wool dress with silver (well, silver coloured metal)buttons on the sleeves that will look really nice together with the dark green overdress.
