Yesterday my husband and I went downtown so that I could spend the money I got as christmas gifts from my mother and my father (and birthday gifts). I had said that I wanted money for a digital camera and now I finally have one. This might make my dress diaries more fun and my web page updated more often. If I stop feeling ill, as it is now I'm sleeping 9-10 hours in the night and at least four hours in the day, so as you can see there isn't a lot of time to do anything else.
I also bought a pair of pink brocade slippers that I intend to use with late 16th century clothes and probably also my 18th century dress, when it's finished. They are far from perfect, but I think I can fix some stuff and make them look reasonably period. This is what they look like. Apart from the plastic soles and the Paisley inspired pattern I think they look cool, and what do you expect from ca 16 $?. I might cover the soles with thin self adhesive cork, that would make them quieter to walk in too and I will put some ornament on top of them.
All in all I still feel pretty satisfied, the camera is a simple one, but it seems to be able to take acceptable photos and that's really all I need it for, I'm really not an expert photographer. This is an expensive toy so that I can show you all my clothes :)
