I've just finished reading "Trade and consumption among late medieval and early modern danish peasants" (Scandinavian Economic History Review) which was sent to me by the author, professor Björn Poulsen, from Aarhus university (Denmark). And it is so interesting. I can hardly wait to start on the other article he sent me:"The widening of import trade and consumption around 1200 A.D:A danish perspective", from Cogs, Cargoes, and Commerce: Maritime Bulk Trade in Northern Europe (ed. Berggren, Hybel and Landen).
It was such a kind thing to do, sending me those articles, I've never even met the man, he just sent me them because he had read my article on male servants' clothing in early 14th century Scandinavia.

On the side : The concert on thursday was really good and Maja was happy all the time we were away. Today on th eothe rhand is rather boring. It's grey and raining and I have the beginning of a cold, that prickly feeling in my throat and a running nose.

Which Heinlein Book Should You Have Been A Character In?
brought to you by Quizilla

[livejournal.com profile] liadethornegge had this test in her journal and since I'm a total Robert Heinlein-nut I had to do it. And what do we end up with? One of the all-time favourites.
