I had a wonderful day. Nice company, good guiding on the way down to Varberg, good guiding in the museum. And I was allowed to take photos of the Bocksten costume in the monter, which is usually forbidden. After that we had lunch and then went to Äskhult, a village with houses from the 17th, 18th and mid-19th century. They have a big project there right now, trying to make the landscape around the village look like it did in the early 19th century, which means putting stones back in the fields and cutting down a lot of trees that were planted in the 20th century (it was heath landscape around it then, lots of heather and almost no trees) among other things. Very interesting. I also managed to handsew two right sleeves. Yes, that's what I did. It is a little tricky when you treat the outer fabric and lining as one and somehow I managed to get it wrong in one of the moments. I didn't want to unpick them and they were a little long anyway, so I cut off the sleeveheads and redid them, different this time. They may be a little short now, but I can tie them a little looser since I'm going to have a short sleeve over them anyway. They look really nice.
Now I'm going to iron the seams on the skirt pieces and maybe sew them together, it's a bit late, but since it's friday I think I can use the machine a little later in the evening.
