A report from my travels
Aug. 28th, 2005 11:05 amI am currently at
myladyswardrobe's and
edmndclotworthy's place. Yesterday we went to Kentwell, which as expected was a marvellous place. We, Anna, Maja and I walked around with
sarahbellem and looked at the ground and the re-enactors. Bess and Edmund were really handsome and as you already know have wonderful costumes. Their late medieval house is really cool, with lots of cute little rooms. I especially like the music room that really looks like it belongs in the 16th century.
We arrived on friday, after a not too long but horrendeously expensive train journey and was welcomed with tea and later, when
peronel arrived, absolutely divine pasta with ricotta and spinach that Edmund had cooked.
I have bought (in London) 11 metres of silk and also have the 6 metres of pink silk/cotton satin that I had ordered from Croft Mill and that had been delivered to
guyelfkin (who was a darling as ever). I also bought 2,5 metres navy wool that will be turned into a 15th century kirtle.
Anyway, I have to stop now and get ready, because we're going to another village to have lunch.
