The barbie pink wool - question for haugtussa

The barbie pink wool needs to be washed before I start sewing (and so will the silk lining). haugtussa, have you ever machine washed any of it? Did it shrink and full much? I won't mind a little. I was thinking wool cycle, but would of course prefer 40 degrees if I can get away with it.
I also wonder if the silk lining can be machine washed on gentle cycle with low temperature, does anybody know?
I have sort of started on a page for this project, but since I really need to start working after all these holidays (Estonia, Visby, England), it will take a while before it's finished to be uploaded.

Look! A medieval dress diary!

Although it's not the planned dress diary for my late 13th century complete outfit based on the clothing in Isabella de Bruce trousseau, it is a dress diary. Of how I'm going to make the Barbie pink garde-corps (for a discussion on the usage of the term, follow the link).
Now I'm going to put Maja to bed and then prepare tomorrow's lecture on the early middle eastern culture and ancient Greece some more. It's at 8 am! Poor kids.
