I am making a conscious effort to learn to appreciate "classical" music made after the 19th century. My friend and colleague Adam has brought me some CDs from his substantial collection (he has a large collection of everything from early music to vaudeville music from the 40s and probably much more). I am currently listening to Arvo Pärt, music made in the 1980s and 1990s and it's really good. Its' more romantic in its style than I usually prefer, I'm most fond of baroque music, but it's really good and not at all like you picture "modern" art music to be like. It's very 19th century really.
And on a more frivolous note: I'm wearing these today. But in plus size (I got them from a swedish site). And I'm glad I got plus size because even though my legs are short they are sturdy with lots of muscles and wide calves. And they stay up! I'm wearing them with my navy dress with pink lacing in the back and a pink lace edge peeping out under the skirt. It's incredibly cute.
