Sewing densely woven (about the weight of thin sheets) cotton by hand is a pain. At least compared to the wonderful experience of sewing thin linen or wool by hand. But I do love my linen thread and my wax.
I am busy proofreading the manuscript, but after a bout ten pages I reward myself with sewing one thread-length on my empire petticoat. It's just that I don't know anymore if it's a reward or a punishment. And I have decided to make three rows of pintucks at the bottom too. Stupid me.
