frualeydis: (tudorhead)
Yesterday I got the catalogue from the Holbein exhibition at Tate gallery (the web page has issues with IE but works fine in Firefox). It was nice and worth the price since it contained several drawings I hadn't seen before and interesting text. It's not what I would choose as my only Holbein book, but then; who has only one Holbein book?

I also brought back Revolution in fashion and Hans Weigel's Trachtenbuch from work so if just Maja agrees to amuse herself and I don't spend all day tidying up I shall have a nice day with lots of eye candy.

Ouch!

I sense lumbago in my near future. I had a first pang of pain when I tried to swipe up some breadcrumbs Maja had strewn on the floor (unintentationally) and I have a certain stiffness that doesn't bode well for my back. This has happened before; when my feet hurt much I walk in a different way and my back reacts.
For instance this happened on our wedding trip to London back in 1993.
Anyhow, I do not have the energy or time to deal with this now. I hurt enough as it is. Rickard is also working the whole weekend, but fortunately my mum could come here and help me with Maja tomorrow. Today [livejournal.com profile] armillary was here and helped me.
Since it isn't that bad yet I have been able to sit down and talk and sew for shorter periods, so now I have sewn the sleeves for Vendela's Herjolfsnes dress.

I am getting really tired of being ill.
