Fabric happiness
Oct. 11th, 2007 01:13 pmI just got a package from Denver Fabrics. The bad thing is that the customs got hold of it and charged me ca. 35 $ (on a 67 $ order) in customs, VAT, extra postage and VAT on that. The good thing is that I know have five yards virtually fluorescent grenadine silk dupioni. It's the slubbiest dupioni I have ever seen, however, so I can't use it for anything historical, which no doubt is good for sensitive persons, like
armillary, but bad for me. Instead it will probably be turned into a 1950s inspired evening dress.
I also have five yards of lilac dupioni and 4 yards of cotton seersucker with a small check in navy and aqua, which will be used for a summer dress with a w-i-d-e skirt and maybe a blouse.
Now back to grading tests.
