I'm bored and, being sick still, I can't work up the energy to read more of the danish dissertation on depictions of Iron age clothing. I thought about re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but I don't think I can bear reading it again now that I know how it ends - I would probably sob myself through all the hundreds of pages. Just thinking of it makes me sad.
I guess it's being sick that makes me this sensitive.

OK, everyone I know has real hand made turnshoes with their medieval clothes, but if you for some reason don't want or can't get or make a pair these look like a pretty good substitute:

They're made by Crane and I found them here.

They may be a good purchase if you need shoes with a little more structure or a hardier sole.

I got Dress at the court of Henry VIII last week and I haven't opened it yet.
