I think I want to eat frumenty with "äpplefläsk" = bacon with onion and apple pieces fried in the bacon grease with a little ground cloves to spice it up. AFAIK "äpplefläsk" is not a medieval dish, but it goes wonderfully with frumenty. And anyway, a variety of frumenty made from barley was eaten well into the last century.

I am tired of the roman empire

When you have read 36 2-3 pages long answers about the expansion of the roman empire during the republic and how it can be compared to previous empires in the mediterranean and the Near East you get very tired of the subject.
