Whee

In four hours I will go and see the men's free programme in the Figure Skating World Championships! For real, when I watched the ladies I had a hard time believing that those big stars I normally watch on the telly really were there, so close to me, down on the ice.

The men's figure skating

Jeffrey Buttle an (apparently) very good figure skater from Canada and a real cutie, in a boyish, slightly nerdy way, made a clean programme and won the gold medal! Since he was my favourite I am very, very pleased. If you go to his web page you can see that he's not only cute but has normal interests: he likes watching soccer and there's a photo of him and his girlfriend posing with a storm trooper. And you should have seen him during the national anthem: crying, laughing and singing at the same time; very touching. Brian Joubert from France came second and Johnny Weir from the US came third. All medals were well deserved.

I am now very happy also due to the fact that jehanearbonne treated me to a fancy dinner at a top class restaurant. And tomorrow we're going to watch the gala.
