Away

Rickard, Maja and I have been away for a few days; visiting his parents and also - which was the best part - camele0pard and her P and son F. Rickard's mum and dad have been divorced for 32 years, but both live in the same town. Rickard's mum is a very frustrating person and it hasn't got better after she got older; she is sometimes confused and misunderstand and loose tracks of conversations, on top of the aggressivity and narcissism that was there before. We managed to stay there for two nights without any huge fights and sometimes even had a good time so I think it was a success. Rickard's dad is much more laid-back and his "new" (since 30 years) wife is very nice, so our visit there was nice and conflict-free.
Still it was very much a relief to be able to pop over to P and camele0pard to breathe and talk with people with whom we actually have something in common. We also spent quite a lot of time outdoors, since there are SO many fun playgrounds in the area and Maja wanted to visit them all.
We also went to the weekly market and I bought some nice ribbons, a brooch and the Kinky Boots DVD for me and a dress for Maja.

Draw the pattern for my embroidery project that I'm bringing to Visby
Check up train times for my "lecture tour" in Östergötland (a region in southeast Sweden) the week after Visby medieval week.
Knit.
Finish Maja's new dress - which unfortunately requires a trip downtown and since it's been raining buckets since 9 am I'm not too tempted. On the other hand it has been raining like this for two weeks in a row now and it's not likely to stop, so if I want something I'd better put on that raincoat and get out.

I'm actually feeling stressed on my holiday.
