Clothes that I dream of

I spend more time than is probably good for me looking at pictures of clothes from the 1940s. For example at New Vintage Lady's blog. The dress and the skirt and jacket ensemble come from her blog; from the Chicago Mail Order catalogue 1940-41. The knitted waistcoat is from a swedish knitting magazine from 1947. Unfortunately I don't own it, I just got the image from an internet auction. On the other hand it would have been way too small anyway and besides I shouldn't knit, that's what "broke" my shoulders and neck in November and I need them for work. But I love the very typical 1940s colour combination.
