The new dress
Mar. 6th, 2012 02:17 pmI finished the new dress on Sunday and wore it to work both yesterday and today. This photo is taken this afternoon and the sun is giving a false impression - it is only a few degrees above freezing here now, after the lovely sprign weather last week. It is of course very normal temperatures for March, though the lack of snow isn't.

The inspiration was photos and pattern illustrations from the 1940s and the material is a brushed cotton in herringbone twill. Warm and nice for early spring.
( Another one )
On the jacket all I need to do is sew the sleeve lining at the cuffs, two buttonholes and sew two buttons. I'm not sure that it will be done today since I'm not feeling well, but before the week is over my suit should be ready for wearing.
