Pretending that it's summer
Jun. 2nd, 2012 07:51 pmAnd talking at the LGBTQ-festival.
I talked about clothing and perceptions of gender from the middle ages to the 19th century today at the Gothenburg LGBTQ-festival. It was fun and I did a decent job. I also hade lunch with my friend Atalanta who is a very nice and intellegent transwoman originally from Germany and the person who invited me to speak. Then I listened to another speaker: Jula Böge, who is a German author and ttrans activist and who did an excelletn and inspiring presentation. I was actually mainly there because the organizers were using my laptop but it was very inspiring and I got some ideas fro my own research.
It wasn't exactly warm today, but since I was going to be mainly indoors and I wanted to wear something festive for the festival I ignored the icy winds and wore this dress for the first time out in public. I also put two large (fake of course) flowers in my hair.
