Rickard's 50 years birthday sweater

I have been a very bad DWer - but I have been a good wife!
I made this sweater for Rickard's 50th birthday. And I knit everything except the intarsia motifs in the same room as he was, while we were both listening to audio books, and he didn't suspect a thing! :)

I have also made a 16th century shirt for my ex-baron, Måns, and it can be seen in my costume blog.

In other news I will be going to Leeds international medieval congress in the beginning of July, and hope to stop by London and visit friends before or after the conference.

Slightly scary hair stuff

This afternoon I'm getting a perm at a salon. I have never done that. In 2011 my friend Monika did a home perm on me that hardly took, and I had a home perm in the 1980s. I have been contemplating this for at least two years, and I feel that there's no point in waiting - I am 50 and I can do whatever I want with my hair.
