Can somebody please do something fun? I'm so bored. [livejournal.com profile] myralea was here for a couple of hours and that was really nice, we talked a lot about work , textiles, knitting etc, but she has gone now and Rickard is working. And I have finished all my sewing projects so I need to start on some other pieces of my Tudor, like the actual gown, but I don't really feel like that. It would mean ironing a lot of fabric first. I am currently washing two rayon/cotton damask curtains and a piece of the pink cotton/silk satin. The damask curtains are in a sort of lime/poison green that I don't approve of, but [livejournal.com profile] myralea said it probably would dye well and possibly get two different colours in the pattern and that sounds much cooler. We're thinking of dyeing it fuchsia, since fuchsia and lime is a both period and literally stunning colour combination (they have a 15th century cope in that colour at the National museum).
Anyway, there's a party at B-M's place tonight, but I don't feel much like dragging Maja along and Rickard is going out to eat with his work mates tonight. I'll probably just stay home and find something I want to sew.

I'm bored too. I have no plans for today, and no idea what to do. Won't go shopping, because with all the Holiday crowds, I'd want to kill someone real quick. Don't want to sew, although I probably should since ther's an event next weekend. And cleaning - ick!

I chose the "stay at home and find something I want to drink" option for tonight - a fine Chilean Cabernet with just a hint of cork to spice it up (not as bad as it sounds). Fuschia and lime can be very nice if done well.

That's an excellent idea. I have a bottle of really nice wine I got as a lecturer's gift from Kongshirden 1308 (http://www.kongshirden1308.no/hoved/foreningen.htm). I could drink it after I've nursed Maja, but i don't think I will, somehow the meory of monday's wild drinking bout still is in my body. I may take the ecological beer in the fridge though.

Aw, too bad I got home so late - it was around 9pm then, so it was already too late. If you're bored tomorrow too, give me a call and I might stop by with some Blackadder disks and sew?

Well, I don't think I have any plans for tomorrow. I've been asked if I want to go to Trollhättan and make gingerbread, but I think I'm too exhauseted for that. I won't be very social and sunny though, too tired.

Ermmm... if you overye lime green with fuchsia wouldn't it give you something in the colour region of mud-brown....?

I'm afraid it may, but it has to be tried. I hope some of the fibres will take dye less well than the others. And I sort of like mud brow. But I will try it on a swatch first.

That should be mud brown, not brow.
