frualeydis | Hooray for socks!

I had a package from Sock Dreams waiting for me when I came home from work. It was these in pink and walnut, these in blue and natural and these in royal blue.
The first two are knee highs and reach just over my knee cap. I intended for them to be knee highs and am not disappointed as I get when I by OTKs and have to wear them below the knee. I hope they don't shrink too much when I wash them. I bought knee highs because I find that I am wearing my superstripes a lot at home, scrunched down to knee level (since they don't stay up without garters) and I thought I shouldn't wear them out at home. So I bought lovely knee highs for using at home and in the summer. And maybe over tights.

The Super Ms reach to the top of my thighs and are wide enough to actually have them there. The tops are a little hard, but having seen how much softer the Superstripes and M43s got after washing and wearing I think they will be perfectly comfortable. They will probably need garters to stay up, but then again maybe not, since they rest _above_ the widest point of my thighs.
They are very loose and baggy around the feet and ankles, but that was expected and I have actually found after buying socks from Sock Dreams that I like that.
And the package didn't get caught in the customs!!!
I am very happy. I haven't been very productive at work today and I have the beginning of a cold, but the socks made my day. Maybe it's the cure for common cold that scientists have been looking for everywhere?
