Snowstorm

There's a snowstorm outside now and it has been going on the whole night. Since it's cold, -6 C. it hasn't fallen so much snow in actual inches, maybe 6-7 inches, the flakes are much smaller when it's cold and dry. But since it's so windy it blows around a lot and gathers in dunes. I had forgotten my keys and had to walk back home to get them when I had gotten to the university this morning and it was absolutely horrible. The snow stung like needles, I honestly didn't think I would make it. Having a slightly upset stomach didn't help much either.
I have a lecture at 12, which I ought to be preparing right now. I wonder how many students will turn up. There are very long delays in the bus and tram traffic and apparently two of the eastern suburbs, Kortedala and Bergsjön, are totally out of electricity.
I think I won't go downtown to get a new mascara after the lecture, which otherwise was my original plan.

A severe cold snap is being threatened for the UK especially the Eastern part (where we are!) sometime in the next week. Apparently its coming in from Russia who are experiencing a REALLY cold winter - colder than usual (which is impressive as they are known for cold winters).

I must say I'd be happy to have a nice lot of snow come over - I won't be able to get into work then!

Hope you feel better soon.

I felt really sorry for my boyfriend when he had to go to school today. Even worse for the people in Kortedala and Bergsjön though. I wish we could get snow days off here too...
