Temptations

frualeydisToday I gave the 102 more or less finished pages that I have written on my dissertation to my advisor and professor. I think the finished product will be ca 220 pages, so it's a significant part. But now I feel so empty and can't really start writing again. And there's still a lot to write on my chapter on "Clothes and gender", which I really should have finished around the middle of March, because I'm going to present it on a seminar April the 5th.
But most of the snow has rained away and the sun is shining and I really want to leave work and go to a fabric store and buy black velvet for my loose gown. The problem is that a friend is coming over to my place at four so if I want to buy fabric today I probably have to leave now.
I'm sorely tempted.
